Simon Ruaut is a graphic and information designer. He guide businesses and institutions in the elaboration of their visual communication and facilitates the graphic translation of complex information.
On paper as on a screen this objective is the same: put form at the service of substance. In a world saturated by images and logos, he seek minimalist aesthetics, based on a quest of meaning and on attention to the readers’ comfort. The challenge is to conceive functional graphic systems that allow structure rather than embellishment.
With a master degree in graphic design at the School of Arts, KASK in Ghent in Belguim, and a licence degree in typography at l'École de Recherche Graphique, ERG in Brussels; he is currently freelancer. Including after a collaboration within the Studio Joost Grootens in Amsterdam.
The nature and entity of my interventions are taylor-made to accomodate the specificity of every project: visual identity, website, book, reports, leaflets, presentation, poster, data-visualisation, graphic, motion design, signage, cartography…
Simon Ruaut est designer graphique et designer de l'information. Il accompagne les entreprises et les institutions dans l’élaboration de leur communication visuelle et facilite la traduction graphique d'informations complexes.
Sur papier comme sur écran, il a toujours le même objectif: mettre la forme au service du fond. Dans un monde saturé d’images et de logos, il revendique une esthétique épurée, s’appuyant sur une recherche de signification et une attention particulière au confort de lecture. Il s’agit de concevoir des systèmes graphiques fonctionnels qui permettent de structurer plutôt que d’embellir.
